One of the best ways to prepare for veterinary school is by learning about the veterinary profession. We have several small and large animal vets in the Upper Valley open to having Dartmouth students shadow.
At this time, these opportunities are only available to Dartmouth students so please email Pre-Vet.Society@dartmouth.edu and we will send you the list of vets and their contact information.
When shadowing, Dartmouth students are representing Dartmouth. We expect you to be respectful of the people and businesses you are working with and to be a reliable participant. There are no set terms for the veterinary shadowing; this is between the vet and the student to arrange. However, most of the veterinarians are looking for a regular shadower rather than just sporadic.
