Learning Collaboratives

Learning collaboratives are an evidence-based approach to developing, nurturing and sustaining communities of practice to engage in networked action, teaching and learning, and capability development at scale, and are a key component of the Promise Partnership Coproduction Learning Health System. The Promise Partnership embraces an “i3” concept and welcomes the development of learning collaboratives for improvement, innovation, and implementation, both applied and research.

Our learning collaboratives bring together patients, families, frontline team members, researchers, improvers, and operations within the Dartmouth community interested in learning and making positive change together. Our learning collaboratives come together annually in October to learn, share, and network with one another. LHS E-STaR: LHS Scientists Collaborative

The LHS E-STaR Learning Collaborative uses the following structure to support the Center’s scientists.

Monthly Learning Seminars open to the community focused on LHS competencies, followed by a private session for our scientists with the expert presenters.

• Monthly community of practice working sessions providing coaching, informatics, and technical support to our LHS E-STaR scientists to optimize their research, troubleshoot difficulties in development and implementation, and build knowledge and skills to facilitate success.

Annual Learning Sessions that allow participants to share progress, challenges, and lessons learned and identify new areas of discovery across Dartmouth’s LHS.
