Applications are invited for full-time postdoctoral research positions to work in the group of Professor Chandrasekhar Ramanathan in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Dartmouth College. We are primarily an experimental research group working at the interface of quantum information science and condensed matter physics. Our laboratory develops and uses magnetic resonance methods to control and characterize the quantum dynamics of solid-state spin systems. Publications and recent highlights can be viewed at https://sites.dartmouth.edu/quantum-spin-lab/ .
Both theorists and experimentalists are encouraged to apply. Experimentalists should ideally have expertise in RF and/or microwave engineering, cryogenics, and quantum control methods. Theorists should have expertise in numerical simulations of interacting spin systems and a strong interest in connecting to experimental problems. Curiosity, a willingness to learn and to cross disciplinary boundaries are essential for all. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Applications should be sent via email to Professor Ramanathan. Please submit the following materials with your application (email: Chandrasekhar.Ramanathan@dartmouth.edu) :
- Your curriculum vitae (including full list of publications)
- A cover letter describing your interest.
- Contact information for at least 3 references who will be willing to provide letters of recommendation.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
