Prof. Sam Raymond
Originally from Melbourne, Australia I moved to the US in 2015. I received my bachelors and masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University in 2012 and 2015, respectively, and my PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2020.
I am also a Staff Data Scientist at Databricks working on the latest advances in Generative AI and the explosion of data we see in this new generation of digital transformation.
Data and data-driven decisions will be vital as we tackle the coming decade’s challenges. In my work and my teaching I focus on the need for a fundamental appreciation and skillset of data management and how we can leverage computational modeling to accelerate our modeling challenges.
