HOUSE PROFESSOR: SIENNA CRAIG

Name: Sienna Craig (she/her/hers)

Hometown: Santa Barbara, CA, USA

Professional Focus: Anthropology (cultural, medical)

Education: B.A. in Religious Studies from Brown University | M.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Cornell University | Ph.D in Cultural Anthropology from Cornell University

Life Outside Dartmouth: I love to practice yoga; to hike and walk anywhere, in cities and in nature. I am a mom of a 17-year-old daughter, Aida, who graduated in June from Hanover High and is taking a gap year before starting her college career at Macalester College. She will come and go from Hanover this year, while I will hold down the fort with Finn, my cat. I love reading novels, writing all sorts of things, including and beyond academic work.

Fun Fact: When I was five, I thought that I started an earthquake.

Sienna was the Deputy House Professor during the 2018-2019 academic year, and took over as House Professor in the fall of 2019.
