As a Dartmouth Summer Scholar, you will have access to a custom selection of cross-disciplinary, noncredit courses taught primarily by Dartmouth instructors, including faculty and staff. Explore your academic interests and discover new passions. Develop your time management, critical thinking, and communication skills. Make lifelong friends and connections with other scholars. Residential Experience
Participating in a Dartmouth Summer Scholars program will give you a true sense of the American college experience.
Dartmouth has a vibrant population on campus for Dartmouth’s “Sophomore Summer,” as well as graduate and professional students doing research or attending classes.
Scholars will eat their meals in Dartmouth dining halls and live in residence halls that will be dedicated to pre-college students for the duration of their program.
Scholars participate in a wide variety of out-of-classroom activities that take advantage of everything summer in Hanover has to offer, including small group workshops, outdoor recreation, social programs, and an iconic college campus located on the Connecticut River and the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

- The Dartmouth Summer Scholars program partners with Summer Discovery, an expert in pre-college summer programs. Summer Discovery manages the admissions process, enrollment, payment, and the residential components of the program.
How much does it cost?

Is there financial assistance available?

Who is eligible to attend Dartmouth Summer Scholars?
- Students, both domestic and international, who will be entering the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades in Fall 2025.
What is the application window for Dartmouth Summer Scholars?
- The Dartmouth application is currently live for a limited number of Academies, which are subject to change ahead of the official December launch date. Applicants are welcome to apply early to secure the additional savings and, if admitted, will have the option to update their selection once all Dartmouth Academies are finalized in December, provided they meet the admissions eligibility requirements for their updated Academy selection.

- The Program is offered in three sessions on Dartmouth College campus in Hanover, NH. Dates for the 2025 program will be posted in December 2024.

- Given the intensive structure of our program, students are enrolled in only one course per session.
