Background: B.S in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Central Connecticut State University. Currently: First Year Ph.D. student in the Molecular and Cellular Biology department (MCB) and a member of the Stanton Lab.

Previous Research Experience: Insight into bactericidal activity of Capsaicinoids against bacterial pathogens. Used analytical chemistry methods along with microbiology techniques to study the effect of capsaicin on bacterial growth with Dr. Sourav Chakraborty and Dr. Michael Davis of Central Connecticut State University. Worked with Dr. Peter Setlow at University of Connecticut Health Center in bacterial sporulation and spore germination. Studied the effect of acetaminophen (APAP) on zebra fish embryo heart development using molecular biology techniques with Dr. Betsy Dobbs at Central Connecticut State University.
