Junior Burks

PhD Student; E.E. Just Liftoff Fellow

Junior is an ecosystem ecologist interested in understanding how ecosystems respond to and influence global environmental change and the climate system. His research explores these dynamics across temporal and spatial scales. He works in forested ecosystems, ranging from tropical systems to boreal forests. He is curious about above- and below-ground interactions, gas fluxes, global carbon cycling, and future forests.
