Welcome to version .6 of the ALS Geospatial Data Inventory website. This site is the product of a joint effort between Dartmouth College's Geography Department and the Geisel Medical School Department of Neurology. It focuses on environmental maps and datasets created for the CDC and NIH funded ALS studies. Its primary purpose is to enable anyone to view the geographic coverage and epidemiological exposure characteristics of the air, water, and land toxic elements compiled for these studies. Static maps of the nationwide distribution of sites for seven initial toxic element categories are found under the Dataset Maps tab. Agency source information are available for fourteen initial toxic element categories under the Dataset Sources tab. One static map has the DartFS path to a compressed file that includes a Shapefile of the data, and a PDF for clearer panning and zooming.

Feedback on these maps and tables is welcomed and can be sent to: barton.n.guetti@dartmouth.edu.
