Positions

We are always interested in recruiting thoughtful, enthusiastic, and most importantly curious people at all levels, so it never hurts to send an email if you are interested in joining the lab. Currently we are actively recruiting PhD rotation students and a postdoctoral scholar with broadly compatible research interests (please contact Amanda Amodeo to discuss specific projects).

PhD Students:

Current Dartmouth graduate students should contact Amanda Amodeo to discuss rotation projects. Amanda is a  faculty member of the Department of Biological Sciences and a member of the Cancer Biology & Therapeutics program at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center (NCCC). The lab is affiliated with the Molecular & Cellular Biology Graduate Program.

Before joining the lab, students must first be admitted to the Dartmouth MCB graduate program. MCB does not have direct admissions to particular labs. The PhD program includes tuition, a living stipend, and access to a variety of campus resources. Applications are due in December for start in the autumn of the following year (see website for exact dates). Please apply directly to the MCB program. GRE scores are not required and there is no application fee.

Postdoctoral Scholars:

We have an open position for a postdoc! Interested applicants should send a CV and cover letter expressing specific research interests directly to Amanda Amodeo.  Details about your past experiences, future goals, and how joining the lab will help you reach those goals are extremely helpful in judging project fit.

Undergraduate students:

Dartmouth undergraduates should contact Amanda Amodeo directly to discuss current opportunities in the lab. Dartmouth has a number of mechanisms to help support undergraduate research. We frequently take WISP students in the winter quarter.

Undergraduates from outside of Dartmouth who are interested in summer internships should apply to the ASURE program. Applications are typically due in February (see website for dates). Outside students are also encouraged to explore the Choose Development program through the Society for Developmental Biology. We do not typically take students (high school, undergraduate, or PhD) from outside of Dartmouth except through the above listed programs.

We are committed to an inclusive and safe environment in the Amodeo lab. Members of historically excluded groups, LGBTQ+, and/or Women in STEM are all encouraged to apply.
