Moving day finally came, and with it, a crane.
First, the unloading of the crate with the new table.
The new table sitting out in front of the physics building.
The new lab, marked out with table locations
There were 7 old tables to be moved: 5 on the 3rd floor, 2 in the basement
Getting ready to fly the tables
One of the two 12 ft tables that wasn’t salvageable (rusted out), on its way out.
Uncrating the new table and getting it centered in the straps.
The guy driving the forklift did a pretty credible job threading a 1600 lb table through the window
Those Genie lifts were creaking pretty badly.
Lowering the table to the floor.
Getting all of the tables in position.
DONE! Time to level them, float them, and start doing science?
