My lab activity participates in a number of research and graduate programs at Dartmouth. All of these programs contribute to a vibrant and collaborative research environment.

Microbiology and Molecular Pathogenesis Program (M2P2). A primary goal of the Program is to provide students and fellows with broad training in microbial pathogenesis and microbial biology. Labs participating in M2P2 include those studying bacterial biology, fungi, parasites, immunology, cell biology and structural biology. M2P2 sponsors journal clubs, lab meetings and an annual retreat that brings together investigators form across Northern New England.

Dartmouth Cystic Fibrosis Research Center. DartCF builds on our historical strength in airway infection and preclinical drug development, to include gut disease and diabetes and changes in patient microbiomes. We believe that these phenomena are interconnected, and that parallel investigations, coupled by powerful new data-science strategies can find new therapeutic approaches by understanding the complex underlying biology. Our overarching goal is to: (i) Catalyze new directions in CF basic and translational research at Dartmouth, (ii) Develop integrative strategies to address CF pathobiology, (iii) Develop new research tools and support CF research through shared services and (iv) Build research capacity to strengthen CF research locally, regionally, and nationally.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Research Development Program. Dartmouth is one of the handful of institutions in the US to receive funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) for a Research Development Program (RDP). The CFF-RDP at Dartmouth supports core facilities and pilot projects to enhance and advance research to help improve care for CF patients.

Molecular and Cellular Graduate Program (MCB). I am a member of the MCB umbrella graduate program. This program spans departments in Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, Dartmouth College, and the Thayer School of Engineering. There are currently ~150 Ph.D. students in the program and ~70 faculty working in a broad ranges of research areas. Students interested in working in my lab should apply to the MCB program.

Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies at Dartmouth is comprised of 35 programs offering masters and Ph.D.s. The mission of the Frank J. Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies at Dartmouth is to foster postgraduate academic programs of the highest quality, catalyze intellectual discovery, and prepare a diverse community of scholars for global leadership. Check out the latest news from Guarini, including videos and activities here. The Guarini school also offers a program called ASURE to help undergraduates from off campus come to Dartmouth for a summer research experience.
