Our Team

Ulrike G.K. Wegst

Ulrike Wegst studied physics at the University of Göttingen in Germany and received her PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 1997 for analysis of the mechanical performance of natural materials. She worked on the CES Eco-Selector software before moving to the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble in France in 2000 and to the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research in Stuttgart, Germany in 2001. She has been a Faculty Guest Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the Anne Stevens Assistant Professor at Drexel University. Dr. Wegst joined the faculty at Dartmouth in January 2012.

Prajan Divakar

Prajan completed his A.B. in Biomedical Engineering at Dartmouth College and is now pursuing biomaterials research, with the focus on pre-clinical translation. He is currently researching porous scaffolds for tissue regeneration.

 

Kaiyang Yin

Kaiyang was born in Nanning, China. He received his B.S.E. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2014, and M.S.E from University of Pennsylvania in 2016, both in Materials Science and Engineering. His current research interests are freeze casting biomaterials for nerve regeneration, also developing novel approaches of freeze casting and materials testing.
