DartCF’s R Club Publishes Paper in mSystems

Congratulations to Zhongyou Li and R Club co-authors Katja Koeppen, Victoria Holden, Samuel Neff, Liviu Cengher, Elora Demers, Dallas Mould,  Bruce Stanton,  and Thomas Hampton, who have developed a new algorithm (GAUGE) that uses machine learning and natural language processing to infer experimental design from sample names. This work, which brings together lab members from the Stanton, Cheung, and Hogan Labs, also resulted in a new online tool GAPE, which enables microbiologists to mine Pseudomonas and E. coli gene expression data sets.
