Digital Lab Workshop Schedule, Summer 2018

Tuesday, July 3, 4:30-6pm • Adobe Illustrator for Beginners

We’ll create a summer scene in Adobe Illustrator combining photography and graphics. In the process we’ll explore drawing, modifying shapes, creating artwork, saving and exporting. Open to all.

Tuesday, July 10, 4:30-6pm • Photoshop, Creative Composites

We’ll create composite images exploring Photoshop’s hallmark blend modes, gradients, and clipping masks. Open to all.

 Thursday, July 19, 4:30-6pm • DaVinci Resolve with special guest, Jamie Dickinson

Join us for this rare workshop with special guest, Jamie Dickinson (BBC fame), where we’ll explore DaVinci Resolve, which combines professional film editing, color correction, audio, and visual effects into one software tool. Open to all.

Tuesday, July 24, 4:30-6pm • Premiere Pro, the Basics

Join us for a workshop in Adobe Premiere Pro where we’ll have fun and explore the basics of editing, create sequences, add music, edit audio, adjust color, play with effects, bring in titles, save and export.

Thursday, August 2, 4:30-6:00pm • Rhino 3D

Join us for a basics workshop in modeling 3D objects utilizing Rhino 3D, a premiere commercial 3D computer graphics application. We’ll create a Japanese tea pot, place it into an environment, light and texture it, and finally save and export.

Thursday, August 9, 4:30-5:30pm, and 6:00-8:00pm 

Wildlife Photography and Excursion with special guest, Chris Johnson

Join us for this very special event. We’ll meet from 4:30-5:30pm with special guest Chris Johnson (our very own College Video Producer) to discuss his wildlife photography and to learn tips and tricks for photographing wildlife.

At 6:00, we’ll leave for Boston Lot to photograph wildlife first hand until 8:00. Open to all. Participants will have to provide own camera equipment.
