Meet the Secretariat
Dartmouth Model UN (DartMUN) is proud to offer our delegates a staff comprised entirely of Dartmouth Undergraduates committed to offering an unparalleled conference experience.
Secretary General: Madeleine Shaw
Madeleine Shaw is a senior from Bloomington, Indiana majoring in Government and Russian with a minor in Arabic & Middle Eastern Studies. Interested particularly in conflict resolution, radicalization, and historical memory, she plans to pursue a career in diplomacy or human rights after graduation. Madeleine has interned at the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and Exodus Refugee resettlement agency, and she recently returned from working with Former President Atifete Jahjaga at the Jahjaga Foundation in Kosovo. In addition to serving as Secretary-General of Dartmouth Model UN, Madeleine is a War and Peace Fellow, Editor-in-Chief of the World Outlook International Affairs Journal and Podcast, and Student Assistant at the Dickey Center. Now writing a Government Honors Thesis, Madeleine was previously a Presidential Research Scholar, worked in Professor Lyall’s Political Violence FieldLab, and published research on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the Journal of Peace and War Studies. She spent her junior fall semester studying Arabic language and refugee policy in Amman, Jordan, and plans to return upon graduation. When not at the Dickey Center, Madeleine can be found competing for Dartmouth’s figure skating team or reading history novels at local cafes.
Director General: Lucy Vitali
Lucy Vitali is a junior at Dartmouth College from Westwood, Massachusetts. She is a Government major with minors in Public Policy and Spanish and is looking forward to serving as Director-General for DartMUN XVII. Lucy has done Model UN since high school and attended DartMUN as a delegate for years before joining staff during her freshman year at Dartmouth. She previously served on staff as a Crisis Manager for the Ad Hoc committee and on the Secretariat as Charge d’Affaires this past year. Lucy is also the Communications Director for Dartmouth Democrats, an editor for the Dartmouth Law Journal, and a policy researcher at the Rockefeller Center. Outside of school, Lucy is involved with her sorority and loves exploring all the Upper Valley has to offer with her friends.
Chief of Staff: Reva Ghandi
Reva Gandhi is a sophomore at Dartmouth College, originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Reva is a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies, and also minoring in Public Policy with a focus on education policy. She is so excited to serve as DartMUN’s Chief of Staff and to welcome all delegates and advisors to Hanover! Outside of Model United Nations, Reva is a Team Lead with the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact’s Nonprofit Consulting Group, an editor for the Dartmouth Law Journal, and works for the Economics Department as a Teaching Fellow. In her past high school and collegiate MUN experience, she’s chaired a variety of Crisis and General Assemblies (but holds a special place in her heart for Crisis committees). She also loves spending reading, cooking, and spending time in the outdoors — hiking, skiing, and everything in between!
Chargè d’Affaires: Noah Amidon
Noah Amidon is a Sophomore at Dartmouth College hailing from Oxford Mississippi, and is deeply excited to welcome all delegates and advisors to Hanover this April! Noah is a Quantitative Social Sciences major focusing on fascist regimes, while also minoring in International Studies and Computer Science. When he is not working as your Chargè d’Affaires, Noah is on the executive board of the Dartmouth Democrats, serves as an at-large member to the Elections Planning and Advisory Board, and writes Opinions for the on-campus newspaper: The Dartmouth. Additionally, Noah works as an AP Biology tutor for the Global Teaching Project and continually volunteers with his Speech & Debate team back home. In previous years of DartMUN, Noah has served as a Specialized Committee Director of the European Union. Outside of school Noah enjoys cooking, canoeing, and reading memoirs.
Chief of Internal Relations: Daniel Chen

Daniel has had over 7 years of Model United Nations experience and is excited to welcome all DartMUN delegates to campus. Daniel is also the head delegate for the DartMUN Travel Team and has accompanied the team on multiple conferences in the US and Canada.
