Phi Alpha Theta
Phi Alpha Theta is an American honor society for undergraduates, graduate students, and professors of history. With over 900 chapters and over 400,000 members, the society has an enormous national reach. It is also the publisher of the journal Historian and hosts numerous regional and national conferences each year.
Alpha Pi Phi Chapter
Dartmouth's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta was founded in 2020 to promote bonds between history students and facilitate interaction with professors. Through its close association with the Dartmouth History Department it has already been able to bring students together for academic discourse and community building, even away from our home in Carson Hall.
