Leadership 

2022-2023: 

President: Kaitlin Kolb ’25 is from the Boston area. She is on the pre-med track with an intended Biology major. On campus, she is on the NSS Executive Committee, involved with Health Access for All, and plays on the Club Squash team. In her free time, she loves to travel and bake new recipes.

Vice President: Daniel Kang ’25 is an anthropology and biology double major. At Dartmouth, he works as a staff writer for The Dartmouth newspaper’s arts section as well as a blogger for Dartmouth Admissions’ People Places Pines team. He is currently a research intern at Robert A. Cramer lab at Geisel, conducting research on fungal infections and apoptosis, and also a cancer research intern at Korea University, probing the effect of intervention-guided fluorescence imaging technique on liver resection. After graduation, Daniel hopes to attend medical school and pursue a career in orthopedic surgery.

Secretary: Ismael Rosales-Albarran ’24 is a first generation engineering major from Los Angeles, California. On campus, he can be found mentoring other first generation students to help them succeed in their courses. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and running.

 

Communications- Blog & Resources Chair: Rachel Zhang ’24 is a biology major and global health minor. At Dartmouth, she is on the swim team and a research assistant for the Humans of the Upper Valley platform, which explores racialized belonging and community in the Upper Valley. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, yoga, and exploring.

 

Secretery: Izzy Morales ’25 is a first generation, low income student born in Passaic, New Jersey but who grew up in Norwalk, Connecticut. Izzy plans to major in sociology and minor in public policy. They aim to use this knowledge to eventually pursue a Masters in Global Health and Health Administration. Their overarching career goals include fixing the problems that lie within the policies that make up the current healthcare system in the United States, as well as other disadvantaged communities across the globe, making sure that not such a large group of people are continuously kept at such a disadvantage.

 

Past Leadership: 

2021-2022:

President: Erika Hernandez ’22 is an anthropology major.  At Dartmouth, she is a Stamps Scholar. She is currently working on her anthropology honors thesis “Between Peru and Japan: Nikkei Motherhood.”  She has interned at Uganda Village Project (a public health NGO), the United States District Court for The Southern District of Texas, Kenja (a blockchain tech company), and Deloitte Consulting on a project involving biopharma and technology. She has studied social sciences in Sevilla, Spain, and in O’ahu and Maui, Hawai’i. After graduation, she will be joining Altman Solon in New York City as a technology, media, and telecommunications management consultant. She is interested in the intersection of healthcare and technology.

Vice President: Basile Montagnese ’22 is from Toronto, Canada, and is studying Biomedical Engineering at Thayer School of Engineering. On campus, Basile enjoys playing club hockey and club soccer and can often be found partaking in mentorship and pre-health clubs.

Treasurer-Secretary (Fall 2021 and Winter 2022): Deep Dhanoa ’24 is a chemistry major and linguistics minor from Phoenix, Arizona. He spends his time at Dartmouth as a writer for the Dartmouth Undergraduate Journal of Science and a member of the South Asian Student Association. In addition, he is an undergraduate researcher with the Ke Research Group, which seeks to develop porous hydrocarbon organic frameworks (HCOFs) for selective substrate adsorption. Deep hopes to attend medical school after graduation.
