Alexander Boys

Professor Boys is a biomedical engineer and materials scientist interested in building new ways to interface electronics with the body. He received his PhD at Cornell University in Materials Science & Engineering, working with Profs. Lara Estroff & Lawrence Bonassar on tissue engineered implant development through an NIH F31 Fellowship. Afterwards, Alex performed research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Cambridge, working with Profs. Róisín Owens & George Malliaras on developing tissue engineered bioelectronic implants for applications in neuroscience through an HFSP Cross-disciplinary Fellowship. Alex joined the faculty of the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College in 2024. Alex enjoys running and hiking in the New England area and spending time with his family.

Amir Khan

Dr. Amir Khan is a materials scientist and engineer focused on developing innovative polymeric materials for advanced electronic applications. He earned his PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from NYCU, Taiwan, where he developed self-healing and stretchable polymeric systems for multifunctional sensors and actuators. Amir also holds dual master’s degrees: an M.Tech. in Materials Science from IIT Bombay and an M.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from the University of Calcutta. Amir joined Northwestern University as a postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Advanced Regenerative Engineering, where his research centered on 3D printable and biodegradable elastomers for tissue engineering. He is currently a Research Associate at the Regenerative Bioelectronics Lab at Dartmouth College, where he continues to explore new materials for bioelectronic applications.

Jono Pelusi

Jono is a PhD Innovation Fellow in the Surgical Innovation track in the Thayer School of Engineering. In 2022, Jono graduated from Brown University with his ScB in Biomedical Engineering, then moved to the Bay Area to complete his Masters of Translational Medicine from UC Berkeley and UCSF in 2023. Most recently, Jono worked as a biomedical engineer at 3D Systems providing virtual reconstructive planning for maxillofacial oncology and trauma patients. Beyond the lab, Jono appreciates cooking meals for friends and any activity that gets him outside.
