Faculty Fellowship

Overview

The Dartmouth Health Equity Faculty Fellows Program is a collaboration between TDI and Dartmouth Health to advance health equity research by supporting competitively selected early-career Geisel faculty. The fellows are supported for two years (with an option to renew for a third year), with the goal of submitting a successful health equity-focused grant application by the end of the fellowship.

Fellows are selected through a rigorous review process and are provided a research stipend to spend on project costs; a template for developing a budget around research needs can be found on the Resources page. Fellows receive protected time for research, office space, access to research resources, and mentoring in an established research environment. They work with TDI faculty mentors, who partner with a primary mentor from their clinical department, and TDI research staff who can assist with research design, statistical analysis and programming. Program personnel are able to support a variety of projects, including health care delivery redesign and testing, Medicare and Medicaid administrative claims data analysis, or qualitative and mixed methods survey, interview, and participant observation projects.
