Plans are underway to bring leading scholars to Hanover on May 1 and 2, with a series of events related to the general theme of “Unshackled Lives: American Biographies of Enslavement and Liberation.”

Lead support for the event is provided by the Dartmouth Conference Fund and is designed to mark the centennial of the (now-defunct) Dartmouth Department of Biography.
