Happy week 9!
As this term comes to an end, the Association for Womxn in Mathematics will be having elections for 2019-2020. We invite all those interested in forming part of the Executive Board to apply by filling out the self-nomination form on this link: https://forms.gle/aBDztuXJYEEKReYW9 . Under the “Brief Platform” section, please write a brief paragraph outlining programming you want to see/organize and your vision and goals for the organization. A voting form will be sent out by Wednesday, May 29th, and voting will end on Friday, May 31st, at 11:59PM.
Election results will be announced during our End-of-Term Brunch on Saturday, 12-1:30PM. Location TBD, but it will likely be Kemeny Courtyard (weather permitting) and catered by Lou’s. Hope to see you there!
First a few housekeeping details:
- Have any programming ideas that you’d like to see AWM do before the end of the term? Let us know via this Google Form! https://forms.gle/wm1x5RPbP8mkDNUv8
- We will be hosting biweekly meetings with snacks! If you have a favorite snack that you’d like to see at these meetings or a dietary restriction, please let us know here! https://forms.gle/BeRn2HNekManuhbZ6
- We will be hosting executive board elections soon, so please make sure to attend at least one general body meeting before the term ends for more information!
We will be partnering with the Student and Presidential Committee on Sexual Assault (SPCSA) for their termly Round Table event–an open discussion where students can voice feedback or ask questions about anything related to sexual violence on campus. They then relay a summary of the discussion to administration members to ensure they hear student voices on this issue.
The Round Table will be taking place on Monday, May 13th at Kemeny 006 from 6:30-7:30 pm. Any students who can’t attend can also send in their thoughts via this form: https://forms.gle/Nc5RbDupys1NoFu37. More information on this event can be found in the attached flyer: Small Talk (2)!
We hope to see you at tomorrow’s meeting!
