The Matthews-Fuller Health Sciences Library is hosting a new exhibit of oil and water color paintings, pastels, and mixed media art by local artist Nance Driscoll. These works will be on display until the end of May 2019. The Library is open Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm, and is located on the 5th floor of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
Artist Biography
Nance Driscoll is a native Vermonter who has lived in Colorado, Bermuda, Florida, Vermont, Cape Cod and Maine before moving to New Hampshire. After early retirement from directing the volunteer services program for a Vermont hospital she began to nurture her longstanding interest in painting.
She has been in several juried art shows on Cape Cod and throughout New England. Many of her paintings have won awards, ranging from First place at the All Cape Art Show in Chatham to Second place in the All New England Show in Barnstable. MA.
Her work is featured in the book “100 New England Artists” now available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon. Several of Nance’s paintings are in private collections in U.S., Canada, England, France, Germany and Ireland. She was the featured artist in 2010 at the Salubre Trattoria in Hanover, N.H. and was one of several artists to be featured at the Vermont Artisan Design/Gallery 2 on Main Street in Brattleboro, VT.
Nance is a past member of Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, Creative Arts Center, Chatham, MA., Cape Cod Art Association, Pastel Painters of Maine, and Maine Women in the Arts. She is presently affiliated with artsfoundation.org
