Ben Graul

Graduate Student, Dartmouth College

Ben started with the CANlab in 2022 as the Presidential Graduate Fellow of the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. He is interested in understanding the mechanisms underlying placebo effects and researching how cognition and physiology are connected in the mind-body relationship.

He graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah with a degree in Neuroscience. Prior to joining the lab, he worked as a lab manager for Dr. Jordan Yorgason investigating striatal dopamine kinetics in ex vivo mice, and a research assistant for Dr. Derin Cobia investigating structural diffeomorphisms in pathologic conditions using MRI. When he’s not in the lab, Ben can usually be found trying new foods with his wife and daughter, playing tabletop games, or enjoying a good book.
