Laurie Polisky

Research Assistant, University of Colorado Boulder

Credentials: BA

Laurie received her BA in Psychology and Neuroscience with a focus in Media Studies from Grinnell College in 2015. After graduating, she worked at Nielsen Neurofocus implementing EEG, eye tracking, facial encoding and biometrics to investigate how people responded to video and images. Since moving to Boulder she has worked at the intersection of science and film, performing fMRI and EEG studies as a member of the Wager lab while also co-directing a feature documentary about chronic pain. She is interested in further exploring the ways in which film might augment the dissemination of scientific ideas while also expanding her neuroscience background by relating words projected into semantic space.
