Maryam joined the group in Summer 2019. She is interested in the regulation of emotions and pain through self-control and metacognition, and the neural basis of the human belief system. Prior to joining Canlab, she worked with Dr. Michael Stowell on comorbidity between seizure episodes and Alzheimer’s disease at the University of Colorado Boulder. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from CU Boulder.
