Dear Postdocs,
You are warmly invited to join the Dartmouth Postdoc Association for an insightful event titled "How to be a Principal Investigator," taking place on Tuesday, January 21 at 2 PM. The session will be held at the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning.
This series is specifically designed to support early-career researchers, especially postdocs, as you navigate the path to becoming principal investigators. In our first session, we will delve into effective strategies for managing lab budgets, with a focus on allocating funds for essential lab equipment, reagents, and personnel—including students, postdocs, and lab technicians—based on startup packages and awarded grants.
We are excited to have an esteemed panel of speakers for this session:
- Dr. Pia-Kelsey O'Neill , Assistant Professor, Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences
- Dr. Tucker E. Burgin , Assistant Professor, Thayer School of Engineering
- Dr. Hung V.T. Nguyen , Assistant Professor, Thayer School of Engineering
These panelists bring valuable experience in establishing both wet labs and computational/theoretical labs, and they will share their insights on navigating the complexities of lab management.
We hope you can join us for this enriching discussion and networking opportunity. Please sign up here before Friday 1/17:
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Best regards,
Dartmouth Postdoc Association
