Dear Postdocs,
You are warmly invited to join the Dartmouth Postdoc Association for an insightful event titled "How to Be a PI," taking place on Wednesday, February 26 at 3 PM. The session will be held at the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning.
This series is specifically designed to support early-career researchers, especially postdocs, as you navigate the path to becoming principal investigators. In our second session, we will delve into effective strategies for managing a lab, specifically in terms of effectively managing students, postdocs, and other personnel, managing different projects, and corresponding grants.
We are excited to have an esteemed panel of speakers for the second session:
- Dr. Margie Ackerman, Professor of Engineering, Thayer School of Engineering
- Dr. Jay C. Dunlap, Professor of Molecular and Systems Biology and Professor of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Geisel School of Medicine
Both of our panelists have received Dartmouth's Faculty Mentoring Award (Prof. Dunlap 2019 and Prof. Ackerman 2016), and we hope they will share their wisdom about managing a lab with you.
We hope you can join us for this enriching discussion and networking opportunity. Please sign up here before Friday 2/21:
