EEES Scholars attend workshops on the graduate school application and interview process over 3 days at Dartmouth College. Scholars will also meet with faculty members, and have the opportunity to present a poster on prior research or future research ideas. Additionally, scholars will spend time with current EEES graduate students and learn about their research and life within the EEES community. This program is an excellent way to preview Dartmouth and gain insights into the process of applying to and being a part of graduate school.
EEES Scholars programming will include:
- Pairing with an EEES graduate student who will be your guide to Dartmouth, EEES and the 3-day program
- Attending lightning talks
- Scholars hear faculty, postdoc and graduate student research talks
- Experiencing a mock interview
- Gain valuable interview skills and tools through a group mock interview with 2-3 other scholars, including feedback, with a Dartmouth EEES faculty member.
- Poster session
- Showcase your prior research or future research ideas to the EEES program community (faculty, students, postdocs, and close department collaborators) in a relaxed setting.
- Attending workshops on topics such as, “Applying to Graduate School” and “How to enhance your CV and Personal Statement”
- Socializing with EEES graduate students
- Going on campus and department tours with EEES graduate students
