Embarrassing! You Didn’t Know GOP Is Pronounced Gop

Wait. Do you legit pronounce GOP as G-O-P? It’s pronounced Gop (rhymes with blop). Have you just not been paying attention to politics for the last six years?

I remember when I used to mispronounce GOP — in the second grade! Actually, I take that back. Even then, as a literal child, as a barely sentient blob of flesh, I knew how to pronounce the name of one of the two major U.S. political parties. 

Wait so you think it’s an acronym — what does it stand for then? Grand Old Party??? Dude, it’s literally the younger of the two parties. 

Remember that time when you were trying to make an intelligent point about the electoral prospects of a post-Trump Republican party? All anyone else heard was you mispronouncing “the” GOP like a buffoon. The GOP… wait you probably read this as G-O-P didn’t you? For fucks sake, it’s Gop you half-wit imbecile.
