The Matthews-Fuller Health Sciences Library is pleased to host a new collection of artwork made by children in the Art for Kids program. Art for Kids is a monthly art program at the AVA gallery in Lebanon, NH, for children with chronic medical conditions and their siblings. The children work with medical student volunteers from the Geisel School of Medicine. These dynamic and creative kids work one-on-one with medical students to create fun and magical pieces of artwork. Stephanie Castillo, Emily Johnson, and Travis McCain, all students at the Geisel School of Medicine, have been working with artist Chris Orcutt Henderson to lead the program for the 2016-2017 academic year.
The exhibit will run from April 20, 2017, until the end of June and will display selected pieces of artwork made by the children over the past year. The collection is eclectic including everything from paintings to mixed media.
Exhibit Reception:
Please join us in the Library for the 2017 Art for Kids program exhibit reception on Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.
