Dinner and a Documentary

On Monday, February 24th, GlobeMed hosted Dinner and a Documentary. As suggested by the name, GlobeMed catered a free dinner to attendees (The Orient) and provided an amazing film to watch. The documentary entitled Burma VJ: Reporting from a Closed Country, depicted events from Burma in 2007. It highlighted the chaotic and closed nature of the country – stressing the difficulties of the local people and the oppressive militaristic government.

The event overall was a great success! Over thirty people attended the movie and gave raving reviews. The movie definitely served to raise campus awareness of Burmese struggles and our cause.
