Katherine Alfred is a Post Doctoral Researcher from Hollis, NH. She received her Ph.D. in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Dartmouth College in 2021. Katherine’s dissertation was titled: “Deductive Reasoning: The Structure of Mental Models and Reasoning in Everyday Life”. She also holds a B.A. in Psychology (Honors) from the University of Connecticut where she was an Undergraduate Researcher with Dr. Roger Chaffin (University of Connecticut) and Dr. Whitney Tabor (University of Connecticut). Katherine’s research interests include Motivated Reasoning, Deductive Reasoning, and Representations of Knowledge. She received the 2016 Graduate Student Award from the Cognitive Neuroscience Society. When not in the lab, Katherine enjoys baking, video games, painting, and gardening.
