The Medical Physics Program enhances a Dartmouth PhD education with 6 required courses applicable to a career in clinical medical physics plus a practicum experience course (7 courses total) allowing graduates to apply for CAMPEP accredited residency programs.

- Radiation Protection and Safety (RAD 001) – Instructor: Williams / Yan (term F24, F26)
- Radiobiology (RAD 002) – Instructor: Williams/Hoopes (term S25, S27)
- Radiation Therapy Physics (RAD 003) – Instructor: Fox (term W26, W28)
- Practicum in Medical Physics (RAD 004) – Instructor: Gladstone / Robins (term W25, S28)
- Cross Sectional Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology (RAD 005) - Instructor: Robins (term S25, S27)
Most classes are taught once every 2 years, requiring at least 2 years in the program to complete all courses. Students who have been admitted to the program may enroll in these 7 classes, and upon satisfactory completion of them, will receive notification of their completion of the accredited CAMPEP Medical Physics Education Program as denoted on their official transcript from Dartmouth.
