Dartmouth named Workplace of the Year by Vital Communities!

Patricia Higgins, President of the Upper Valley Transportation Management Association, and Aaron Brown, the UVTMA program coordinator, gave the award to Robin after hearing about Robin’s 30 years of running Dartmouth’s exceptional parking and transportation program and her commitment to the work

Patricia Higgins, President of the Upper Valley Transportation Management Association, and Aaron Brown, the UVTMA program coordinator, gave the award to Robin Guay after hearing about Robin’s 30 years of running Dartmouth’s exceptional parking and transportation program and her commitment to the work

The TMA honors several organizations and individuals each year for making it easier to bike, walk, carpool, and ride the bus in the Upper Valley.

Dartmouth College won this year’s large workplace award for its comprehensive transportation program, which includes vanpools, a carpool matching website (Zimride), a car share program (ZipCar), free shower passes for cyclists and walkers, support for local buses, and numerous other programs.

Way to Go week: Know about Bicycle Laws and Safety Guidelines

Did you know? In Hanover, only children age 12 & under can legally ride on the sidewalks. Hence, Dartmouth bikers should not be riding on the sidewalks! Pedestrians could be seriously injured!

In conjunction with Way to Go! Challenge and Bike/Walk to work week, here are some Bike safety law and guidelines for all. Happy Biking and Walking!
