One week countdown to the Way To Go! challenge. We are comparing Dartmouth commuter with DHMC commuters on the Carbon Throw Down page (check out other participating organizations too) to see how we are stacking up. Spread the word and help us win one of this year’s Carbon Cups! We need more participants!
Earlier this week, Dartmouth launched its mobile site: m.dartmouth.edu. Its Map feature, perhaps the most anticipated, will be officially replacing the existing Dartmouth’s Campus Map page soon, but users can now check out the significantly improved campus map with searchable features and departmental websites linked to buildings via Dartmouth mobile.
Dartmouth mobile can also be downloaded as “app” on your smart devices. Simply follow the instructions on its about page.

OPAL and Undegraduate Deans moved into their new space at the former Computing Store space at Berry Library on March 18th 2013. The space was completely redone and renovated with beautiful wooden patterned panels, yellow walls, and purple furniture. The atmosphere is both welcoming and professional, perfect for students to drop in for academic consultation, general advising, or even catching up with peers and studying in the lounge area.

Dana Library has a new home as of April 15th 2013. Staff and students have gradually settled into the spacious and colorful space on the 3rd floor of 37 Dewey Field Road.
Two weeks ago, the Organic farm Master Plan team held a presentation and poster session at Fairchild Tower on the Dartmouth College Organic Farm Master Plan. More than 30 students, faculty and staff came to the event.
Our team including Bill Maclay and Will Grimm from Maclay Architects, Joanna Whitcomb from the Office of Planning and Design, Rosi Kerr from Dartmouth Sustainability briefed the crowd about the plan’s concepts, goals and possible layout of the farm site.
Presentation boards can be retrieved in pdf format here.
We came across 10 creative fun public bike racks that Dartmouth could use as a reference when re-examining its bike rack standards!
