  • Clamantis coverClamantis: the MALS Journal. A bi-annual publication for the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program at Dartmouth College. We showcase the strongest creative and critical work submitted by Guarini graduate students and alumni in the following genres: creative writing (fiction, non fiction, essays, poetry, oral history, screenwriting), interdisciplinary critical essays, photography, and illustrations. 2016-present (published as The Journal 2005-2015).   • Dartmouth Business Journal. Dedicated to promoting the exchange of business insights and opinions on campus. Covering technology to finance, we explore a wide range of current issues to provide fresh content for all readers, from the future investment banker to the next big entrepreneur. 2008-present.   • Dartmouth Journal of Comparative Literature. Intends to provide opportunity for students in the humanities to advance their understanding and appreciation of critical theory by showcasing student writings and sponsoring discussions on critical theory. 2021-present.
  • Dartmouth Law Journal. Provides students and faculty with a public forum for law-related ideas and discussion. 2003-present (Dartmouth College Undergraduate Journal of Law until 2005). Some print issues available.Dartmouth Journal of Politics, Economics, and World Affairs logo
  • The Dartmouth Undergraduate Historical Review. Encourages historical research and discourse among undergraduate students at Dartmouth and beyond. Publishes Dartmouth students as well as undergraduates from other institutions. 2023-present.
  • Dartmouth Undergraduate Journal of Politics, Economics and World Affairs. Publishes integrative scholarship relating to politics, economics and international relations by students at undergraduate institutions across the world. As an interdisciplinary research journal, DUJPEW aims to highlight the roles of institutions, communities, and the state in the new world order, as well as the frameworks of interaction between them. 2018-present.
  • Dartmouth Undergraduate Journal of Science. Provides a supportive atmosphere for Dartmouth students to publish their own STEM writing, collaborate with others on team projects, and develop valuable writing and editing skills. 1998-present. Some print issues available.
  • Memento coverMemento: The Dartmouth Undergraduate Journal of the Critical Humanities. Provides a platform for undergraduate students to engage, through writing and discussion, with literature, art, politics, cultural texts, and other objects within a framework informed by critical theory and philosophy. 2021-present.
  • World Outlook. A student-run, peer-reviewed international affairs journal at the Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College. We publish outstanding work by Dartmouth students and undergraduates worldwide. 2007-present. Some print issues available.

Literary magazines

  • Black Praxis coverBlack Praxis. Founded as an extension of the Afro-American Society, Black Praxis is Dartmouth’s historic Black student publication dedicated to the creative and political expression of Dartmouth’s Black student body. 1965-present (including various formats and periods of dormancy. Current version started in 2016). Some print issues available.
  • Dear Dartmouth: An Undergraduate Publication. A monthly magazine centering around all things cultural within and beyond the Dartmouth community. 2020-present.
  • Humbug. A creative writing workshop group at Dartmouth College which aims to provide an inclusive intellectual space for writers through peer editing, support, and discussion. All are welcome to attend. 2017-present. Some print issues available.
  • I2 coverI2. I2 Literary Magazine seeks to give people of color the representation that mainstream literary and other creative spaces often lack. Through various forms of original creative media, I2 showcases the diverse lived experiences of communities of color—at Dartmouth, and beyond. 2019-present.
  • Lifelines coverLifelines. A journal for literature and art published by the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. The journal has featured work by Guggenheim Fellows, winners of the William Carlos Williams Poetry Competition, physicians, patients, medical students, faculty professors, and undergraduates, as well as from new authors and artists. 2004-present.
  • Meetinghouse. A literary magazine that provides a space for diverse voices to speak with one another. Meetinghouse builds upon Dartmouth’s rich literary history and vibrant creative writing faculty, creating opportunities for undergraduates to learn about all aspects of publishing, from reading submissions to laying out finished stories. 2020-present.
  • The Stonefence Review. The Stonefence Review is Dartmouth's oldest literary magazine and the premier journal of arts and letters for the Dartmouth community, founded in the 1980s to counter creative repression and oppressive politics on campus. We anonymously accept and review submissions from Dartmouth students--including prose, fiction, poetry, essays, art, photography, and much more--providing a safe, inclusive, and free outlet for the creative talents of students on campus. 1980-present.   • The Dartmouth Apologia. A journal of Christian thought that seeks to integrate faith and reason in an academic setting. 2007-present. Some print issues available.
  • Disorientation Guide. Created by members of various student groups. 2014-present (2014-2015 edition can be found here). Some print issues available
  • Illuminate. A dynamic online publication aimed at creating a platform for emerging student photographers and visual artists at Dartmouth College. Published once a term by the Dartmouth Photography Society, we are dedicated to empowering young artists and fostering a community of cutting-edge creativity. 2020-present.
  • In Your Face! A  radical, queer zine. 1990’s-present. Print zines only. Some print issues available.
  • Spare Rib coverSpare Rib. A magazine that discusses the struggles and achievements of people marginalized by the traditionally centered narrative at Dartmouth and beyond, and features multiple aspects of the uncensored Dartmouth existence through a variety of works ranging from poetry to research articles. People of all identities are welcome! 2020-present (inspired by a Dartmouth feminist magazine of the same name from the 1990's).
  • Woodsmoke coverWoodsmoke. The Dartmouth Outing Club’s periodic publication of trip and expedition reports, essays, poetry, artwork and photography. 1970-present. Some print issues available.
