Asad Alavi

Hello everyone! My name is Asad Alavi, I’m a 2nd year grad student pursuing a MS in Computer Science. I’m originally from Pakistan and did my undergrad there. I came to Dartmouth right after graduating so I’m pretty much in the same boat as most Seniors are (looking for jobs and such). I’d be happy to help people out with any CS-related questions or problems they might have be it related to grad school, careers or just general questions. Other than that, I’d also be happy to talk about Pakistan, hiking in the Himalayas (one of my personal passions) and other generally interesting things! I’ll be holding office hours in the Hyphen from 9 PM onwards on Thursdays. I can also be reached at Russell Sage 102 for anything urgent if needed. I wish you all the best of luck for the term, and would be happy to help out in any way I can!

Hello, West House! My name is Amaris De La Rosa and I am currently in the Bachelor of Engineering program. I was born and raised in San Jose, CA, and my family is from Mexico. My concentration is in Mechanical Engineering, with additional coursework in Materials Science. As an undergraduate at Dartmouth, I also majored in Anthropology (modified with Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean Studies), taking full advantage of our liberal arts education. Please reach out if you need help in: planning your D-Plan or majors/minors, navigating engineering at Dartmouth (or college, in general), or working on assignments. I was recently in your shoes and would love to help out. My office hours this term will be 9:30-10:30 pm on Tuesdays in the study room on 2nd floor Fahey.
