Summary: We heard from Jarett Berke (T ’17) about his experience being the owner of Lou’s. We discussed his experience buying Lou’s, running the daily operations, and applying his business background from Tuck to the real world.

Beyond the Bubble: Taking Classroom Learning into the Upper Valley via SIPS

Social​ ​Impact Practicums (SIPs) connect students in Dartmouth courses with the opportunity to apply that knowledge addressing pressing social issues throughout the Upper Valley. In classes spanning 25 different disciplines, students are working on experiential learning projects alongside nonprofit partners.

WIB Meeting Week 3: Overview of Business Industries

Date: April 16th

Summary:
At our third meeting, we were exposed to multiple business industries including consulting, finance (investment banking, assets and management, sales and trading, research), venture capital, private equity, etc.  We heard from upperclassmen women about their experiences in these various business sectors. We received our mentors for the term.
