The finance/consulting newsletter includes information about on-campus events and finance and consulting opportunities tailored for 22’s, ’21’s, ’20’s, and ’19’s. The other business industries (formerly off the beaten path) newsletter includes information about on campus events and business opportunities in fashion, entertainment, marketing and publicity, information research/business technology solutions, technology, engineering, and NGO’s.

WIB Meeting Week 3: Overview of Business Industries

Date: April 16th

Summary:
At our third meeting, we were exposed to multiple business industries including consulting, finance (investment banking, assets and management, sales and trading, research), venture capital, private equity, etc.  We heard from upperclassmen women about their experiences in these various business sectors. We received our mentors for the term.

Our week 4 opportunities are broken into 2 parts: the finance and consulting opportunities newsletter and the off the beaten path opportunities newsletter. Check out our newsletters for opportunities and upcoming deadlines for applications!  The finance/consulting newsletter includes information about on-campus events and finance and consulting opportunities tailored for ’21’s, ’20’s, and ’19’s. The off the beaten path newsletter includes information about on campus events and business opportunities outside of finance and consulting such as opportunities in the fashion, marketing and publicity, and technology and engineering industries.

WIB Opportunities 19S Weeks 2 and 3

WIB’s weekly opportunities (week 2 newsletter and week 3 newsletter  )include information about on-campus events, finance and consulting internships and jobs, and off the beaten path internships and jobs.

Highlighted Events on Campus:

Mastercard Case Competition: Mastercard (formerly APT/Applied Predictive Technologies*) will be hosting a Case Competition on campus on April 18th and 19thand we’d love to see you there! The case competition will be a great opportunity to gain exposure to the real-world business questions that we tackle every day. Participants will also have the chance to interact with consultants at Mastercard and compete for cash prizes and interviews (1st place team: $1000 + first round interviews; 2nd place team: $500, 3rd place team: $250). You can sign up here, and the flyer contains some more competition details.
