Black In Immuno Week, November 22-28, 2020, was a huge success in connecting, supporting and amplifying Black immunologists across the world. Their efforts were featured in an article in Forbes and highlighted in a New York Times article.
Sponsorship for Black In Immuno will support the development of the Black In Immuno Hub (coming this month!) which will:
- Include a database of Black researchers in the field of immunology, searchable by subspeciality (e.g. cancer immunology, host-pathogen interactions) and current position (from undergrad to full professor)
- Organize year round virtual meet-ups, workshops, job fairs and other events that will enable connections between Black immunologists, allies and members of the science ecosystem.
- Be a valuable resource to draw on for invited speakers, job advertisements/recruitment to Dartmouth, and will help promote the success of our talented Black immunologists here at Dartmouth.
Dartmouth sponsors include:
The Molecular and Cellular Biology Graduate Program
DartCF | Dartmouth Cystic Fibrosis Research Center
bioMT | Institute for Biomolecular Targeting
The Cystic Fibrosis Training Grant
The NCCC Tumor Immunotherapy program
Department of Microbiology and Immunology
