Hanover/Norwich middle school take the challenge!

The Richmond Middle School Sustainability Committee has accepted the Vermont State School Carbon Challenge. The challenge began on Oct.1 and is a contest geared towards reducing the carbon footprint of our schools.  It also provides educational opportunities to share with our students and the larger community. The winning schools will be granted prize money to use towards energy efficiency improvements.  Progress will be tracked for 6 months (ending April 1). During this time we’d like to encourage families to visit CarbonRally.com and join our team by accepting a challenge.  The site provides many ideas for lifestyle changes and with each accepted challenge you are provided an estimate of your pollution savings (as an individual and also as a community).
