The high field NMR facility is equipped with Avance III 700 MHz and 600MHz Bruker spectrometers.
Location: Room 015 in the Life Science Center building
The 700 MHz spectrometer features an Avance III console (4 RF channels), a SampleJet autosampler, a nitrogen recovery unit and is equipped with a TCI (1H,13C,15N, 2H) cryoprobe. A room temperature TXI probe is also available. The 700 MHz is mostly used for protein assignment and structure determination as well as for screening. The SampleJet autosampler can be cooled for protein stability during screening efforts. The SampleJet is compatible with 3 mm and 5 mm 4 " NMR tubes in racks as well as 7 " 5 mm tubes.
The 600 MHz with an Avance III console (4 RF channels) and a SampleJet autosampler normally utilizes a 1.7 mm TCI cryoprobe (1H,13C,15N, 2H) for reduced sample volume measurements (35 μL). The 600MHz is mostly used for screening efforts as well as sample optimization and peptide structure determination. Two other probes are available: a room temperature TXI and a BBFO for 19F, 31P and exotic heteronuclei.
