Brant Oliver, Christian Von Plessen, and Gene Nelson recently participated in the International Society for Quality and Safety (ISQua) Annual Conference, held from August 20 to 23 in the vibrant city of Seoul, South Korea. The event had a remarkable turnout, with 1606 attendees from 77 diverse nations converging to explore this year’s compelling theme: “Technology, Culture, and Coproduction.”

Christian Von Plessen took a substantial role in the conference’s proceedings. He guided a thought-provoking Plenary session dedicated to Coproduction. Additionally, Christian spearheaded a 3-day learning journey centered around Coproduction, which remained a focal theme throughout the conference.

Meanwhile, Brant Oliver and Gene Nelson lent their expertise to facilitate two highly engaging Workshops, each drawing an impressive crowd of around 100 participants. The first Workshop delved into using Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) to enhance health and healthcare. The second Workshop delved into the intricate steps required to initiate a learning health system, fostering collaboration in health, healthcare, science, and equity.

Their efforts have set the stage for a promising future! Brant, Gene, and Christian are determined to carry the coproduction theme into the next ISQua Annual Conference, scheduled for September 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey. They extend an open invitation to all ICoHN participants, urging them to consider the submission of proposals for presentations and workshops.
