Emily Morgan, MPH

Family and Patient Advisor

Emily Morgan was a research assistant on The Dartmouth Institute’s coproduction team for eighteen months before she decided to pursue her Masters of Public Health in Health Behavior at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

Emily continues to work with the coproduction team as a patient advisor. In 2008, she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. Emily provides guidance on strategies, tools, and resources to engage patients, families, and professionals in the development, testing, and implementation of learning health systems to support coproduction of healthcare.

She is currently a member of the IBD Qorus Patient Advisory Council and serves as a patient lead on the IBD Qorus Implementation Working Group. Emily is a national patient advocate for improving health care services and financing of inflammatory bowel disease, with experience testifying to Congress and the Food and Drug Administration. She is a member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s Patient Education Advisory Task Force as well as one of the Foundation’s E-patient Influencers. She has expanded her advocacy involvement by becoming a ClaraHealth Breakthrough Crew Ambassador as well as a member of the IMAGINE Network’s External Advisory Panel.
