Classic Editor and Block Editor

Classic Editor

The Classic Editor is the default editor for Dartmouth WordPress. This allows you to edit with a standard word-processor type interface.

Block Editor

While the Classic Editor is certainly adequate, it doesn't have many layout options. In 2018, WordPress introduced the Block Editor. It provides more flexibility and functionality for editing. It is much easier to work with images, columns, and galleries for example.

Editor Selection

By default, Dartmouth WordPress uses the Classic Editor. To make the Block Editor available, go to Settings / Writing. Set "Allow Users to Switch Editors" to Yes. You may also choose the default editor for your site.
