Stanton Lab Launches New Newsletter to Highlight the Benefits of Bioinformatics for CF Research

FAIR-CF is a science communication project that aims to demonstrate how published biological data is far more than a static record of past scientific work. Just as the historical record – the diaries, newspapers, and other sources that recount human events – helps shape the way we think about human nature and the workings of the world, the biological data record has immense untapped value as a source of fuel for new experimental hypotheses and building material for future scientific theories. By highlighting the use of published data in CF research and related fields, we hope to inspire new works of data re-use to which all members of the CF community may contribute. In doing so, we will bring computational, wet-bench, and clinical researchers within the CF community into a more perfect and productive union.
