Summary: Dé lives in the slums of Cantagalo. As the son of a house servant, he knows firsthand the hardships of earning an honest living while surrounded by crime. Despite life’s many misfortunes, Dé manages to keep his dignity by working as a hotdog vendor at a kiosk. One day while at the beach, Dé meets Nina, the only child to a rich lawyer.
