Supplemental Materials:
I must say up front that I’m biased towards this minissérie because I presented on it during the term, but I absolutely loved it. It depicts Brazil in the period just before the military dictatorship while simultaneously telling stories of love, dreams, and the reality of life. Based on a curious novel, the way historical facts are mixed with fiction makes this minissérie well worth its long duration.
